Preamble

Trees Life LTD, based at Carpenter Court 1, Maple Road, Bramhall, UK (hereinafter referred to as "Trees Life") owns plantations and is committed to reforestation on a daily basis to protect forests and preserve the habitat of many animal species. Trees Life also operates the treeslife-club.com platform and enables its members (hereinafter referred to as “Club Members”) to make their purchasing behavior CO2-neutral through membership. This is the club's main goal. Club Members have the opportunity to shop at discounts from our partners worldwide using discount codes and Club Points, be it online platforms, partner companies, tour operators, food partners or top deals. Club members can also recruit additional members, which is optional and not mandatory. Depending on the level, recruiting additional club members leads to a distribution of club points.

Each club member receives 0.083 trees from Trees Life every month, which corresponds to 1 tree per year. The reimbursement for a tree takes place directly in the dashboard in the form of club points after deforestation by Trees Life.

Subject of the contract

In accordance with the general terms and conditions, the club member is entitled to recruit additional club members and to use the advantages of the Trees Life Club. Registration takes place exclusively via recommendation and requires an active club membership that generates club points.

Basis of contract

By registering and completing a club membership, you become a Trees Life club member and receive a personal, non-transferable identification number (hereinafter referred to as “Member ID”), which entitles you to participate in the Trees Life club program. The member ID is not visible to the outside world. The club member confirms the accuracy of his information to Trees Life. Changes to personal information must be updated in the dashboard. Only one registration (one member ID) is permitted per natural person. Registration requires first name, last name, email, phone number and password; further data can be added to the profile. In the event of unauthorized multiple registration, Trees Life reserves the right to terminate the contractual relationship, reclaim benefits and block and delete Club Points. In the case of multiple registrations, the last registered member IDs will be deleted and the resulting Club Points will expire.

A club member must always have an active club membership with a valid debit or credit card. If the Club Membership cannot be collected, the Trees Life Account will become inactive until the outstanding Club Membership fees are paid. Trees Life actively informs the club member about outstanding payments and grants a grace period of 7 days. The referral program remains inactive while payments are pending. After 7 days of inactivity, the club member can request reactivation of the account via support, for which a fee of CHF 50 will be charged. Decayed trees are donated to a good cause. If there are enough Club Points, 50 Club Points will be charged instead of CHF 50. If registration is not activated by the recommender, the recommendation can be deleted no later than 30 days after registration. Trees Life reserves the right to delete inactive accounts after 60 days in order to promote active club members.

Club member area

Trees Life provides every club member with personal access with logins after registration and verification of the mobile number. The club member can deposit their payment card and pay for the first membership (CHF 39.90 per month) to gain access to the Trees Life Dashboard. The password can be reset at any time in the profile. The access data (email, password) must be treated as strictly confidential and must not be passed on to third parties. Personal settings can be changed at any time in the Trees Life account. The club member is obliged to immediately report any misuse of his access to Trees Life. After access is blocked, the club member receives new access data via SMS, email or post. Trees Life is liable for damage caused by misuse in accordance with the liability provisions.

Benefits program

Club members can redeem the distributed club points in the shop or for deals. Redeeming Club Points reduces the number in the Trees Life Account accordingly.

Referrals program (friends refer friends)

Every club member can actively refer additional club members to their level without any restrictions. The referral program is optional as each member receives 0.083 trees per month.

Data protection

To implement the benefit program, Trees Life collects, stores and processes personal data of club members. Order data from the SHOP & Deals is only used for support purposes; Data from purchases in SHOP & Deals are not saved. Vouchers are archived. Club members can request information, change or deletion of their data directly from Trees Life (contact@treeslife.com). Further data protection regulations can be found in the data protection declaration. Trees Life uses recognized security technologies to protect club member data from unauthorized access. Trees Life is liable for the security of transmitted internet data in accordance with the liability provisions.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Trees Life is only liable for gross negligence or fraudulently concealed defects. If there are defects in the Trees Life Tools, the club member must report them immediately by email. The club member is liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Any further liability is excluded. Trees Life offers technical support exclusively via email. The technical equipment (internet connection, etc.) is the responsibility of the club member. Trees Life is not liable for network operators and rejects any liability for the club member's hardware and software required for use.

Termination of the contractual relationship

The club member can terminate the contractual relationship at any time by email. The notice period is 1 month. After cancellation, a club membership will be charged to the payment card. The minimum contract term is 6 months. At the end of the contract, the club member is entitled to redeemed benefits from the program. Club Points that expire at the time of contract termination will be lost. Trees Life can terminate the contractual relationship without giving reasons or terminate it without notice for good cause. If Trees Life terminates the contract without notice due to culpable behavior on the part of the club member, the club points acquired up to that point will expire. Purchased Club Points generally expire after two years, at the end of each year. If the contract is terminated within the first 6 months, the club member is liable for the minimum contract term and the notice period. Terminating the club membership will result in the deletion of the Trees Life account.

General Provisions

If individual provisions are ineffective, the effectiveness of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Registration and participation in the Trees Life benefit program is permitted from the age of 18. The club member is responsible for all applicable duties, fees and taxes.
